Our lovely Archivist, Kate, made an appearance on the BBC’s A Taste of Britain this month. Did you see her? If not, the ‘North Essex’ episode is on iPlayer for a little longer. Janet Street-Porter uncovers a fabric used on a sofa in her family home, and Brian Turner makes a Queen of Puddings. It’s no-brainer watching.

A Taste of Britain can be found here, or find out more about Braintree’s textile heritage here.
